Naomi Barbour

Programming Intern

Naomi Barbour is a Senior at Eastern Michigan University, majoring in political science and double minoring in public administration, and criminology. She plans to pursue a JD/MPP specializing in corporate and white-collar crime. She has aspirations of utilizing the law to defend the civil rights & civil liberties of marginalized communities. Naomi has extensive experience serving students on campus with election information and educational programming including founding and presiding over several campus clubs and initiatives, including Eastern’s Civil Rights & Social Justice Center. She has gained valuable experience through fellowships and internships with several prominent governmental agencies in Michigan, including the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office, the City of Detroit’s Civil Rights Office, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and the Michigan House of Representatives.
